Starting Out – Pre-Travel Visits!
4/29 – 5/4/18
After about a week in the DC area, we are finally flying out to Puerto Rico. If you’re interested in a fun exercise to figure out what clothes and items are really essential, try packing your entire life in to a single backpack and one carry on bag and one personal item. Here we are with everything for the next year at the BWI Airport, ready to fly to San Juan:
In the DC area we visited friends, hung out on their decks (including some rooftop BBQs), and enjoyed the fantastic weather.
This is Brian admiring the 3-foot LEGO model of a Saturn V rocket that Dave built and has on glorious display in his apartment in DC:
Heading up a few flights of stairs, we had a BBQ on the roof, including some spectacular views of DC:
The next day, we went to Quattro Goombas in Aldie, Virginia. They have a winery, brewery and pizza shop. It was a gorgeous day and we sat outside under the trees looking out at the country side. Yep – we were pretty much the only people there the entire time!
Thank you Mike and Sarah for the place to stay and the meals!
Dave it was great visiting with you, thank you for grilling and the rooftop views!
JD and Christie thank you for the hospitality and the ride to the airport (not to mention your World Famous Enchiladas)!
