This post will give an overview of the Palazzo Mocenigo and Museo di Storia Naturale di Venezia (Natural History Museum).

Palazzo Mocenigo

The 17th-century palace has historic fashion and information about perfume.

Here is the dining room of the palace.

Some of the chandeliers were similar to the ones we saw in Quirinale Palace.

This is lace in the process of being made.

There is also a room with 18th-century waistcoats.

Some have elaborate detail.

Perfume was popular in Venice, so the museum had a short movie about perfume and the rooms with tools that were used to make perfume.

Here is a room that has 24 different oils to smell, which are the scents that make up perfume.

Here is the Perfume Maker’s Organ that was used to invent perfumes. It has over 200 essential oils all in arm’s reach.

Museo di Storia Naturale di Venezia (Natural History Museum)

The Natural History Museum is mostly about animals, but there are a few rocks and some old tools there as well.

The museum starts with dinosaur exhibits.

We even got to see some dinosaur eggs.

Check out the horn on this one.

The museum also has many animals.

The natural history museum was enjoyable and there are many rooms that we didn’t post or take pictures of.
