On February 23, 2019 was spent at sea travelling from Hobart, Tasmania to Adelaide, Australia. The ship docked near the Outer Harbor Railway Station. To get to downtown Adelaide we took the train and it was about an hour ride. We visited the National Wine Centre of Australia.

The National Wine Centre of Australia has one of the largest open cellars in the southern hemisphere. There is space to store 38,000 bottles, all of which are available to buy in the Wined Bar.

Before going to the Wined Bar we looked at the Wine Discovery Journey. I liked seeing the leaves and grapes of each variety.

In Wined Bar they have 120 different wines that you can taste. Brian enjoyed tasting the mystery wines in the center and then guessing what the wines were.

The National Wine Centre of Australia is on the edge of the Adelaide Botanic Garden so then we walked around and saw the Bicentennial Conservatory.

This is Palm House.

We walked by the National War Memorial that was completed in 1931 to commemorate those who served in World War I.

It was then back to the Adelaide Railway Station to get the train back to the ship.

Feb. 12-28, 2019 – On board the cruise

This was our third Celebrity cruise in less than five months. While all three were on different ships – the Infinity, Constellation and Solstice – it was interesting to see familiar faces and a couple of similar shows.

Getting on the Celebrity Solstice we noticed that the Hotel Director, Mario Valentino, was the same person who was on the Celebrity Constellation cruise we took from January 20, 2019 to February 3, 2019. We spoke to him a few days later and heard that he had switched ships a few days before the Celebrity Constellation docked in Shanghai, China where we got off.

During the first Celebrity production cast show we noticed that one of the female singers and the woman playing the piano in the orchestra were the same people we saw on the Celebrity Infinity on October 9-24, 2018. On our Celebrity Infinity cruise, one of the Celebrity production cast shows that we saw was Broken Strings, and that show was performed on the Celebrity Solstice as well.

During our cruise on the Celebrity Constellation we saw the Celebrity production cast show Rock City, and that show was on this ship as well. It was still interesting to see the shows with different casts. We have not seen a guest entertainer more than once.

One show on this cruise that we had not seen before was Euphoria.

Euphoria was mostly acrobatics instead of dancing.

It is really impressive what the acrobats can do.

Each night in the main dining restaurant we had the pleasure to get to know Bob, Lyn, Peter and Dianne from Perth, Australia.

During the cruise it was also Peter and Dianne’s anniversary.

Brian and I are looking forward to our next Celebrity cruise on the Millennium in April 2019.
